Aggregate data values over time using the accumulated and year to date calculated functions.
Clear Impact Scorecard includes 4 calculated measure types that allow you to do calculations across TIME PERIODS instead of other MEASURES. For each of these calculation types you want to only select one disaggregated measure to run the calculation on.
The purpose of this calculation type is to allow you to enter and track monthly or quarterly data but also get a YTD or Total count/average for those values.
Important things to know:
- The calculated measure and its disaggregated measure must have the same reporting frequency.
- Actual and Target Values cannot be entered manually once a calculation type is put in place. It is now calculated using data values from other measures.
- Changing a measure to "calculated" after it already has Actual or Target Values entered will delete all its existing values.

Types of Accumulation Calculation Types
Year to Date
These two calculation types combine data values over the course of a year and reset at the beginning of each year.
- Accumulate YTD - Sum
- This calculation is most commonly used with currency and counting values.
- All data values are added up into a running total and resets at the beginning of each year.
- Accumulate YTD - Average
- This calculation is most commonly used with percentages and rates.
- All data values are calculated into a running average and resets at the beginning of each year.
All Time
These two calculation types combine data values across all time periods and do not reset.
- Accumulate Total Sum
- This calculation is most commonly used with currency and counting values.
- All data values are added up to a running total.
- Accumulate Total Average
- This calculation is most commonly used with percentages and rates.
- All data values are calculated into a running average.
Sub-Annual Year-To-Date
The sub-annual calculation type is intended to turn Monthly, Quarterly, or Half-Year measures into one annual value. The parent measure in this set-up MUST be an annual reporting frequency and the child measure must have more than 1 annual period (i.e. monthly).
- Sub-Annual Child YTD Sum
- This calculation is most commonly used with currency and counting values.
- All data values are added up to a running total.
- Sub-Annual Child YTD Average
- This calculation is most commonly used with percentages and rates.
- All data values are calculated into a running average.
