Creating pie charts in Clear Impact Scorecard using the custom reporting module.
Lesson 4-1 Creating a Pie Chart
Goal - The goal of this lesson is to create a report that has a Pie Chart that shows the percentage of polarities for Performance Measures.
- Click Reports on the main menu
- Click on the New Report menu item
- On the "Data Sources" tab. Select the checkbox next to Polarities and PerfMeasures.
- Click on the "Chart" tab.
- Click on the "Chart Type" drop down box and choose "Pie" for the chart type.
- Click on the "Label" drop down box and select "Polarity Type" from the Polarities table
- For the "Label" function select "Group" from the drop down box.
- Click on the "Value" drop down box and select "ID" from the PerfMeasures table.
- For the "Value" function select "Count" from the drop down box.
- Click on the "Preview" tab so you can view the report. Let's add a title to this report.
- Click on the "Misc" tab.
- In the "Title" text box enter "Performance Measures by Polarity"
- Click the "Preview" tab. Now the Report is titled. Let's Save it.
- Click on the "Save as" tool bar button, name your report, for example "Lesson 4-1", and enter the category you want the report to be shown under, for example "Training", click ok. The custom report is saved.

Lesson 4-2 Advanced Pie Chart Report
Goal - The goal of this lesson is to modify the pie chart created in Lesson 4-1 by adding additional information and and restyling the pie chart
- Click on the "Chart" tab.
- Click on the "Advanced Properties" button.
- Click on the "Legend" check box to select it. Let's add percentages to the pie graph.
- Click on the "Show Percentage" check box. Let's also change the type of pie chart.
- Click on the "Chart Type" drop down box and select "Doughnut.. Let's also have less data combined so we can see more values
- Change the Combine Bottom % value to 1.
- Set the scale % value to 130% to enlarge the chart.
- Click the "Preview" tab. Let's Save it.
- Click on the "Save as" tool bar button, name your report, for example "Lesson 4-2", and enter the category you want the report to be shown under, for example "Training", click ok. The custom report is saved.
