Comparison-Only Measures

Note: To understand the foundations of compared measures, we recommend reading the article on Compared Measures before reading this article.

In addition to creating measures that can compare their data to data from other measures, you can also create measures that contain only comparison data.

The aggregated measure must not contain its own data - it is a parent measure only. The aggregated measure must also not be a calculated measure.

In this example, the measure “% college enrollment county-wide” has no data, and three compared measures in the Relationships section.

To display the compared measures, click Edit in the graph section and choose Graph Settings.

Turn on Display Comparison and click Save.

The data graph now displays the three compared measures.
