What is a Scorecard?

A scorecard is a canvas on which related scorecard objects are placed and presented. This collection of related information presents a report on the success of one or more initiatives.

Each scorecard is comprised of one or more containers, in which each container includes a result or program. Each container also includes the measures whose data is used to gauge result or program success. A result container typically includes indicators as measures, and a program container typically includes performance measures.

Note: Result, program, indicator, and performance measure are default terms. Admin users can modify or add terminology to suit your methodology or preferences. For example, you may prefer to use “strategy” or “outcome” instead of result, or “KPI” instead of performance measure.

For some examples of scorecards that may help you get started, look at the Tools / Templates and Tools / Equity Atlas Templates menus.
